About me

Entrepreneur, developer and software architect. CEO and founder of Adapptio.

My name is Jiří Hýbek and I’m from Jindřichův Hradec, Czech Republic. Currently, I live in Prague.

I’m the CEO and founder of start-up Adapptio where we help business and software developers to build web applications 10x faster and cheaper.

Before, I worked on the IoT platform Hexio where I focused on architecture and implementation of distributed systems and cloud services, namely the overall architecture (based on microservices), a back-end and a front-end. Also, I was responsible for a cloud infrastructure based on the Kubernetes platform and for related dev-ops activities.

I’m the former co-founder of the web development studio Webarts, where I’ve led and developed more than 30 website projects and applications. I’m also the former co-founder of the entrepreneur group Cryonix Innovations which operates as an internet service provider in Pisek.

I started programming when I was 10 years old. The time we had 8-bit Didaktik Gama computer (also known as ZX Spectrum) at home. I understand the Basic 48 programming language very quickly and I started developing my first “applications”.

During an elementary school, I came to other languages such as Pascal, C++ and finally PHP with MySQL which started my career as a web developer. At my age of 16, I started learning Photoshop and basics of graphical design. Meantime I was able to deploy and manage my first Linux server.

I graduated from a secondary technical school in Pisek in the field of a programmer/network administrator.

Two days after my 18 birthday I got a business license and started my entrepreneur journey along with school studies.

I’m also interested in fields of a game development and an artificial intelligence. I love to learn new things and extend my own capabilities and knowledge.

I’m contributing to an open-source community - check my GitHub profile.

And sometimes, I post articles on Medium.com.
